How engagements work
Clear scope, clear deliverables, and a process designed to answer your question—not generate endless analysis.
The process
Exploratory discussion
A 15–30 minute call to clarify the question, understand constraints, and identify what decision the analysis needs to support. No charge, no commitment.
Focused feasibility
A short, scoped analysis (paid) designed to reduce uncertainty, identify sensitivities, and map what matters. Typically delivers a clear recommendation.
Deeper collaboration
Only if the project warrants it. Extended into iterative design support, optimization, or ongoing technical partnership.
Framework: Question → Scope → Evidence → Decision
Question
What specific decision does this analysis need to support?
Scope
What's the minimum analysis needed to answer with confidence?
Evidence
What results, assumptions, and limitations need to be documented?
Decision
A clear recommendation or characterization that enables action.
What a good first message contains
- The decision you need to make — what will change based on the analysis results?
- Operating conditions and constraints — flow rates, pressures, temperatures, geometries, materials.
- Available data — CAD files, test results, existing calculations, or reference documents.
Typical timelines and deliverables
Timelines
- • Initial response: within 1–2 business days
- • Focused feasibility: days to a few weeks
- • Extended collaboration: scoped per project
Deliverables
- • Decision memo with clear recommendation
- • Summary plots and key results
- • Documented assumptions and limitations
- • Raw data or model files (when appropriate)
